In Your Community

New Mexico Gas Company cares. We believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our staff does that through financial donations and, most importantly, by volunteering their time. New Mexico Gas Company employees have provided thousands of hours of volunteer work across New Mexico to help improve our communities and the services that are offered. Our annual United Way and Thrive employee campaign generated more than $170,000 in donations to fund community programs in 2020, while our corporate giving to these organizations and United Way of Central NM’s Mission: Graduate and Mission: Family provided an additional $81,000. New Mexico Gas Company provides over $900,000 in financial support to New Mexico communities and organizations annually in the form of memberships, donations and sponsorships.

For more than 17 years, New Mexico Gas Company has staged a Weatherization Day. In conjunction with the City of Albuquerque's Senior Affairs Department, our employees visit income-qualified senior citizens to prepare their homes for the colder months. We install window coverings, caulk cracks in windows and doors, and add door strips and door sweeps to ensure heat is retained.
